The new ball is gone January 1st. Is that good or bad?

it can be debated
its good cuz there is more grip and a better shooting accuracy than the leather ball
but players are complaing that the ball has given them cuts on their hands beause of its synthetic fibres which are rough
its bad to change it now because like Shawn marion said they are already use to the ball and now they are going to have to get used to the old ball again which is a big different
There were also complaints that the new ball died everytime it bounced off the rim and when it was bounced it the middle of thhe court it tended to move to one side
This will be a big change for the NBA but i hope it wont affect the players performance.

ALL GOOD.
The foolish nerd commissioner, who has never played a minute of ball in his life, chose the ball without any input from the pros.
Stern is a lawyer who knows alot about business and nothing about basketball.
Thank God that stupid ball is gone. Now if we could only dump the commissioner!!

I think they should go back to the leather ball. Coach of the Clippers is really going to enjoy the time-being because he is already used to the leather ball. New coaches won't like it, but the ball is good for coaches like Phil Jackson, and other coaches like them. If you like a new team like Golden State, you should not like it, but if you have an old kind of coach such as Phil Jackson, you should enjoy the ball. Because the coach such as Phil Jackson can show his team the techniques of the kind of beaksetball.

Good. There was no reason to get rid of the leather ball in the first place. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, as I always say about this situation.

i played with both versions of basketballs and i feel more comfortable with the older verison
