I would rather live with someone than live alone. I've done both, and I found that living alone is exhausting. I hated to be by myself, it seemed like I could never get a good night's sleep because I was stressed out all the time. I like to live with someone else. Right now, I live with my husband, and it's nice to have someone to go home to every night.

Its better to live alone, unless its with your girlfriend or boyfriend.
Living alone you can walk around but naked, and whatever you left on the dresser or table its still there when you get home. You never loose anything. IT'S GREAT LIVING ALONE. When you have a roommate it never last. Someone doesn't want you doing (something) music too loud, your company is too loud, strangers going in the refrigerator etc. The roommate doesn't want to pay rent on time. TRUST ME I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE. IT SUCKS. Now living with your mate is lovely too I have no complaints about that.

Living alone is better ... BUT if you have multiple personalities it's fun cuz you're able to have so many conversations about everything under the sun.
Like take for instance, the "Psycho Killer" ( Mark ) part of me is actually very intelligent and even he has a duel personality - He's actually a Priest who on the weekend seeks to have sex with men.
Another of my personalities is Rita - She's a nurse who helps out the elderly.
I can go on about this .. but the ONLY bad thing is that even though I have a lot of multiples, none of them help with the rent.
Oh well ...

It's a give and take. I live alone, but I hardly have time to think about it because of my job. But, I feel the effects of it sometimes. I believe it is better with someone else; God saw the need in Adam and created Eve.

It all depends on your situation really.
I used to live alone and loved it. I could do what i want when i want. But recently I was hit by a drunk driver and disabled and I couldn't live alone anymore because simple every day tasks were too hard or painful for me to accomplish. I moved in with my ex husband (we have been best friends for almost 20 yrs) and he takes care of me now.
Like i said, it depends on your situation if its better with or without someone else.

I live alone half of the time, the other half it is myself and my daughter.
I would have to say that both have their good points and their bad points.
Alone -
Good: Get to do whatever I want, no real responsibilities, get to waste my time playing video games, having friends over.
Bad: Get lonly, no one to talk to, end up going out a lot and spending to much $$$,
Daughter -
Good: Get to see her, hear her laugh, spend my time with the only person who really matters, eat better, just have more fun
Bad: Nothing, other than knowing that my next week will be without her.

I have never lived alone. I like the company. But when my family is off in other places, my dogs and cats provide lots of company. The secret is to be able to do exactly what you feel comfortable doing within the realm of not bothering your housemates/family. The flip side is someone is always there for comfort, entertainment, and to help when asked.

If you like your roommates then living with people can be fun. I, however, hate my roommates so I am moving out into a new place to live alone and I will live near my friends. Living alone can be lonely too though. I just think it depends on who you would be living with.

I've lived on my own the last 7 years as a contractor and student. It is very nice to set all your own rules. It is also easier to get motivated to clean up when it is your own mess. You also have the pleasure of no roommate drama.
The downside would be I am not sure I could tolerate not being able to do everything my way after all this time.

I think its better to live with someone because then you can always go out with them if your bored where as if you live alone the likely hood is that you will sit on your butt and watch TV
