Love is both simple and complex. It is an emotion and a state of being. There are so many different kinds of love for which we use only one word in english.
I love my children, I would protect them with my life, I care for them and want only the best for them. I love my parents and other relatives in almost the same way as my children but nothing can possibly prepare you for the fierce protective feeling you can have for a child.
I can also love another person with a passion that involves physical intimacy and a closeness that is impossible to really express. It involves, respect, joy, caring, tenderness, all these and more.
Most of all I want to share something I heard once that has stuck with me. We are all alone in our own heads... solo. No matter how close we are with friends and family ultimately we are alone inside our skulls. No one on the face of the earth will ever know you as well as you do, yet another person comes along and says to us... "I want to witness your life, I want to share mine with you"
That's love...

Love is something you can't put into words; it's a feeling that you get for only certain people; your family and one other person. It's when you can say you would give up your life for that person's and mean it; it's when you can be doing any given thing but still have them on your mind at all times; it's sharing secrets no one else would understand then giggling when other people don't get it. The person you love is the person you can tell everything to; and not be self concious. It's the only person you can have the hugest fight with then kiss and make up later. It's the one person you would drive across the country with just to get pizza. And love is the one emotion that is so hard to really recognize; you think you have it sometimes but when you really do, you'll know.

LOVE. hmm very power word and so misused. I think the Bible gives the best truth about what love is Love is patient and kind, Love is not jealous boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable and keeps no record of wrongs Love is never glad about injustice, Love rejoices in the truth, Love never gives up, never loses faith. Love is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Love will last forever. That's what love is to me.

never saying I USED TO LOVE YOU becuase love does not have a past tense once you love someone you may change the way you love them but it should never be " now i dont care about you at all" because then it was never love just love. and of course wanting what best for that person even if it hurts you in the process such as letting them be with someone who can fulfill their needs better.

Something absolute!
I mean a warm kiss, a smile, a touch, an everyday thought, a bottle of beer I can share with chaffing in a beach, a hug under the stars, a walk in rain under the same umbrella, something unexpected as a phone call when you don't wait for it.

I believe that love is patient, and unconditional. It sees beyond a persons flaws and it can stand the test of time, through the most turbulent situations. I've been blessed to find love in my family and in my fiance'.

i think love is a word used too much an not meant to often. if you love a person it shouldn't matter how many times you say it, its not love, going out of your way to make him/her happy. just being with that person no matter what. mothers care for their child and would do anything for their baby . they feed, clothe, clean, teach, provide, protect, and nourish their kid. thats love to me. you show love not say it.
