I don't think it'll last until then. Whenever I got mine done professionally for homecoming, it only lasted an hour... and that wasn't even when I was dancing yet.

If my cheap Cover Girl, Maybelline and Neutrogena makeup lasts all morning into the night, I can't imagine why a professional job wouldn't. But I also touch it up during the day. Would you have access to the same products they'd be using, to do your own touch ups during the day? I definitely wouldn't trust the lipcolor lasting more than a couple of hours, especially if you eat/drink during the day.
Personally, I'd get the makeup done in late afternoon. I'm not sure how well it would hold up under hair styling, particularly if there's hair washing and blow drying involved.

Do it as late in the day as possible. Definitely do your make-up after your hair is done. It won't disappear before you go out, but it will be well set and you may feel shiny by 8:00 p.m. Get some blotting tissues which will help - I love them. In a pinch, you can always use a toilet seat cover (the tissue paper type) to blot a shiny face, but the sheets are available at Wal-Mart or anywhere are better. Have fun.

Always start with a moisturizer under your foundation. It helps keep it on, place a powder over it, use a eye primer for the eyes to keep the eyeshadow from fading or creasing. Use lip liner on the full lip, keeps the lipstick on longer. Then color the lips with the lipstick. Use a little bit of a brozer all over. Keeps you looking fresh all day. May be a few extra steps than use too. But see if it works for you. try not to rub your face during your shift. Probably hard to do, but you may be wiping your make up off and not relizing.. Good luck

No you'll need re-touching... I usually ask the makeup artist to pack up a very small sample of the powder or eye shadow for touch up. It's usually the complexion that will either become oily after time or the make up might fade away.

it should as long as you just shill and not do much of anything before your big night. i am sure u may have a tad bit of touching up to do. i would ask the artist what u should do to ensure it lasts all day. i am also sure as long as they use a primer and setting poweder (which most makeup artists do use) u should be okay. but just keep your activity light after u get it done.
but i dont think that u should get it done before u get ur hair done AT ALL!!!!!

i'd probably save up that money for something else that would spark up your outfit, like new shoes or a new purse, cuz that makeup probably wont last 8+ hours...sorry! just try doing it yourself. imitate a look that you like in a magazine and spend a couple bucks on good eye shadow and lipstick. you'll look great! have fun!

Well, as long as you have some products to touch it up with later, it will be all good. For example, you will want to buy the lip product they use on you--no way that will last!
