Video game help?

In the nightmare before christmas game im stuck
clown is on a unicicle thingy going around town and i need to pull the enginge from under him ive tried everything how do i do it????
the witch isnt much help and the presents only stun him for a second wile i use the green goo to try and pull out the engine, doesnt work
any ideas or something

ive tried throwing presents in front of him and grabbing the engine from behind but it doesnt work ive tried using all the different types of present and using different attacks

throw a present at him and hit him with it and then run up behind him when he is stunned grab the engine.
