Pittsburgh, PA we have lake affect snow from Lake Erie plus we are in the Appalachian Foothills so in about a week or so we will be most likely be covered in snow.

The closest place is probably the mountains of NC (boone, Asheville, Blowing Rock, etc) - you can go to Shopallstoresonline.com and book a hotel for a good price. Have fun!

well If you want a real snow experience you should try sking in VT. The snow is great there and there are tuns of resorts with all sorts of other things to do as well.

Do you mean the best or closest? I would contact the local office of The National Weather Service and they could advise you of the nearest.
