Bowel movements (your phase as dump) depends on body metabolism. normal or average is one time a day to once every three days. this is considering the intake of fiber in the diet and the amount of fluid intake a person has; also the amount of exercise or activity performed on a regular basis. excessive movement maybe to not allowing emptying of bowels at toileting. this of course is for adults without medical problem, in children the frequency may be more.
