I'm recieving child support from my ex for my daughter and now he wants to see what the money is being spent on. Do I have to provide him with receipts? The child support is not court ordered it's just what we agreed on that he would pay since she's with me all the time.

No you do not. The money is to help feed, clothe your child, to help with heating, utilities, recreation for her. Keep records of how much he gives you and when for future reference.

Nope. You don't have to show receipts. Child support can be used for anything that goes into the support of a child and sometimes those things don't give receipts.

(rent, home utilities, food, clothes, transportation, school items, entertainment, hair cuts, etc.)

no you do NOT! is your child being fed? is she wearing decent clothing that fits? does she have a nice warm bed? school supplies? get a court order for child support. not having one will only cause problems for you later. trust me, i have been down that road already. if you make enough money to support your child on your own and use the money to get boob implants and gold teeth.....then you can do so. just because you make enough to do it on your own...doesn't make him less responsible.

My ex asked for the same darn thing. I told him to mention it to his lawyer because any lawyer and court system would laugh in his face. you are NOT obligated to provide him with anything. Please reconsider and go thru friend of the court because without documentation you could get screwed out of money that you need to raise your daughter. good luck

Since it's not court ordered, he can demand whatever he wants. It's up to you to comply or not.

You should seriously consider getting a court order for support. It's not for you, it's for your daughter. If you die, his agreement will die with you. Who will care for your daughter? Him?

No you don't have to show receipts, it is for FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING, UTILITIES, and other incidentals. GET YOUR BUTT TO COURT AND GET IT ORDERED.
