I have my bachelor's degree in a few different disciplines. I would like to enroll in a Master's program that will help me get certified to be a high school teacher.

I live in New Jersey now but I'm willing to go elsewhere for grad school.

There are many good graduate programs in all states. To be certified does not necessarily involve getting a Master's degree. You can enroll in a teacher certification program. The certification usually takes about one school year, while a Master's can take 2 to 3, depending on the program.

From personal experience, the University of Pittsburgh has an excellent teacher training program!! And, if you want to continue for an MA, it's only another year or so of classes. I don't know what field you'd want to teach, but I was very pleased with their foreign language education program!

Texas A&M has a pretty solid education program. My husband just got his Masters and teaching certificate (at once) through the department in Curriculum and Instruction.
