TiVo...because music you can hear on the radio...you can't just watch your favorite shows whenever!

I agree with the other two people that actually have both. The iPod is nice and all, but the Tivo really will change the way you watch TV. I listen to my iPod daily, but could give it up in a heartbeat. You would have to pry my Tivo from my cold, dead hands.

I would definitely go for the TiVo. I have both but my TiVo is my favorite. The TiVo is more expensive then the Ipod shuffle so if you are getting it as a gift - go with the more expensive one.
I guess it really depends on what you would use more.

I have both, and I believe that TiVo is the best invention since the cushioned toilet seat. I suppose the answer would depend on the variables, like how much do you watch TV vs how much do you listen to music. I personally don't have the time or am not available to watch the TV shows that I like when they come on, so TiVo works great for me. Good luck!

I dont have either, but if I had to choose I would go for the TiVo because there are other great MP3 players out there that are really cheap and are of good quality. When you by Ipod you are buying the name and not so much the quality.
Thas my opinion.

NEITHER. Get a DVR(Digital Video Recorder), you don't have to get an extra phone line like you do with TIVO, and it does the same thing. You can get one at your local cable company, and they'll tie it into the cable lineup onscreen guide. That way you can pre-set the DVR to record any show. It also has a series manager, so it can be set to record a certain show every week, you can set it once, and never have to again. And it does two things at once, so you can record two shows at the same time while you're away, or record one and watch another at the same time! I don't know what I did without mine!
