There are lots of great choices, I think you need a no name candidate that has not yet been corrupted by the system.

I am fiercley independant and registered independant,I made the mistake of backing the current administration after the trauma of 911. I think we were as a nation caught up in some kind of surreal patriotism and we wre terribly misled by wolves .Seeing what our cuurent national condition is and judging strictly by guts and his public service record I think Bill Richardson of New mexico is our best bet and I think a new revolution in politics is just around the corner. The alternative to Bill would be Dennis ciusinich of Ohio . And beware the Obama hype usually for a politician that is that new on the hill and is so popular with his fellows is because he has new big money for his backers.

I want to see a populist independent win the presidency. By the time they sell themselves to the special interest groups like Corporate American and America's Christian Zealots tboth Democrats and Republicans are too flawed to govern. Some who wins based on an agenda of strengthening this country, getting better health care for all Americans, and working with our allies for a peaceful world is what I would like. I don't see him or her out there yet but there is still a couple of years.

At this time, John McCain is the only reasonable answer. Obama and Hillary do not have enough experience--nothing against sex or race. Colin Powell has experience, but not all-encompassing from an elected official standpoint. I'm sure that others will run who have impressive resumes. I do not have that much knowledge of the others running for President.

I'm an independent conservative and I'd like to see a person with the following qualities as President:
- Understands that the free-world is at war with radical Islam
- Understands that open borders lead to chaos
- Understands that less taxation leads to economic growth
- Understands that activist judges are a hinderance to the system
If he/she has a good understanding of those points, I think we'll be alright.

It is going to depend deeply on who the players are as I always check into all parties represented not just those two full of moron parties. I am so tired of the status quo of the wealthy running the country and screw the little man who works to make this country great.....I think we need someone who will focus on what is wrong with America and to HELL with what is wrong with the rest of the world. America is so broken it is not funny and we need to focus on ourselves for a few years and fix the problems here....!

I don't know yet. I would like to see Hillary run, but I think our country is still too stuck in the "stone age" to make a woman prez. Barack Obama is charismatic and intelligent, but may not be experienced enough yet. Although he is Republican I could deal with John McCain.

I'm an Independent. I like several potential candidates, and the next two years will hold the key as to who I decide to back. Right now I'm partial to Hillary, Obama, and McCain.

Honest answer: I don't know anyone being spoken of as running whom I would care to vote for.
I keep hearing 'the field is wide open' and keep hoping someone will turn up....
I am Republican by registration, but likely to change that to independant.

I want a president who will not hesitate to use the full might and force of the United States against any Jihad anywhere in the world.
I also want a president that refuses to allow any Iraqi middle class refugees sanctuary in the United States. They are needed back in their own country.
