He's already made his position on the existence of Israel clear. Why antagonize the UN, Europe and the US at this time? They'll only go harder on the sanctions.

He is merely trying to galvanize the Muslim world around him by giving voice to a lie that many in the Middle East accept as the truth. By denying the Holocaust the President of Iran is essentially reinforcing the view, in the Muslim world, that the Jews are an almost omnipotent force that is manipulating everything, from our financial well being, global politics, and even our history.

By denying the historicity of the Holocaust, the Iranian President deprives Jews of a piece of their history that makes others in the world think twice about disparaging them. Cast doubt on the veracity of that impediment, and any malice towards them will not be seen as a crime.

Because they believe Isreal exists and has the backing of those on the winning side of WW2 because of what the Nazis tried to do, which was very popular in the Arab world at the time which aligned itself with the Nazis, (Bosnian muslims were some of the worst SS units, and Saddam's uncle was a willing collaborator and admirer of Hitler). It has more to do with anti-semitism in Europe and the USA being very obliging to take them anywhere ELSE they wanted to go, and they didn't care if they survived after dumping them out on the beach, so Isreal has been on it's own most of the time, and done quite well considering the odds. Of course he said in the interview while in NYC that he didn't argue with Isreal's right to exist, just "not there". And he went home and back to daily promises of removing Isreal from the map. Maybe the controversey of watching those dancing grls will get him out of office, or force him to do something stupid to try keeping power. They have a "pyramid" scheme of power over there, and to be the man on top is the lifetime goal, such as the man would be who destroys Isreal. So you can see I wouldn't pay two cents for an acre of land anywhere in that region right now.

Because the Iranian President wants everyone to believe that Holocaust was invented as an excuse to justify Israel's occupation of the Palestinian land.
He needs as much support as he can to justify why he wants to destroy Israel.
He will succeed only if people feel offended and make hateful and mad remarks,so he can say: see how they get mad when they hear it,so it must be some truth to it!
Americans should not take part in any hateful suggestions. Please
keep in mind we are not Jews or Palestinians,we are and we must be always Americans first. We will be much safer and stronger if we don't take any side of this issue.

He, the Dictator of Iran, hopes to gain attention and supporters. He is an evil man that is going to someday be the next Hitler. He almost passed a bill that required all non-Muslims to wear badges, just like Hitler did to the Jews. He denies the Holocaust and says that Israel should be wiped off the map.

He's a dictator that doesn't let historical facts get in the way of his desires. He feels untouchable and couldn't care less what the rest of the world thinks. He's got a TV too, just like the rest of us. What we've been hearing on TV are arguments why it isn't feasible to invade Iran militarily and why it's not smart to antagonize them right now and he's taking full advantage of it. They do not think like the West in the Middle East, they never have. That's the main problem every time we try to have talks with Middle Eastern countries. Their priorities are different, their theology is different, their way of life is different, etc. It's like being an elephant and trying to understand the language of baboons.

This guy is buying his way to the top only he's demented and diabolic. He uses his 'mission from allah' to command his killers to go and conquer. His misguidings will lead to world-wide destruction. He was asked why deny the holocaust and as he smiled he said 'pretty soon the world will be a holocaust' (something to that effect). What's bad news is that he already seems to have enough clout to make threats and order killings and nobody is willing to cross him. We just sit back watching him gain more & more authority which is a critical mistake for democracies around the world.

He is working at proving both modern Jews are not decedents of the Historic Israel and in so doing prove Persia has a right to the land and not the Jews.

Iran is synonymous with Hezbollah. They are conquering Lebanon even as we speak.

Liberals satisfaction themselves in being open minded, in thinking for themselves. in case you incredibly do think of approximately all the themes that gasoline the present conflict, you would be able to desire to come to conclusions which you do unlike. yet, in case you may in simple terms deny a number of those themes as lies and conspiracies, perhaps you may attain greater gentle conclusions collectively as nevertheless patting your self on the back to your 'loose thinking.'

His answers to many people who have asked that question is one that fits in the world that he lives. He explained that many people died during world War 2 along with many who suffered from torture. It wasn't just the Jews. And he is correct.
Where he is wrong is that no other race of people were singled out for extermination as if they were termites.
His answer is a popular one in his country as they have been taught to hate Jews and Americans. Their children at age 3 are already answering their leaders with "death to Israel - death to America."
We obviously don't have those lessons in our pre-school programs.

I read an editorial earlier today that suggested his goal was to make his Shiite country more respected in the Arab world. The one thing that Sunnis and Shiite extremists have in common is hating Jews.
