True, but not everyone has a cell phone. Have you ever stood on the side of a convenience store building and tried to make a pay phone call when it was cold or rainy? The phone booth at least offered some protection.

I think a payphone has no use anymore, they should bring back maybe one every few blocks, but since so many people these days has cellphones thenthere is no use forit. The privacy thing can be over come just sneak into the clotses bathroom if it is private matters. Payphones have also been know for people to listen in on your calls so that breaks the privacy thing.

Yes, I think it would be a good idea, after all, not everyone can afford a cell phone and some people can't afford to put a phone on their home. You all know there are people that are way below poverty level and can't afford these luxuries.

No, I don't think society cares anymore who hears if they didn't we all could eat in a resturant in peace and go to the movies without hearing someone in the back of the room yapping.
