I think after a year is a good time to get proposed to because you have gone through every season together and you have been through so much and know him enough.
You can't put a time limit on it. Whenever he feels like proposing and whenever he knows it's right to do so, it will happen. Don't rush into it. Remember, marriage is a big deal. Enjoy the nonmarried life while it lasts.

Depends on the people. I got engaged very quickly, but he knew me for many years before we were even involved. My friend got engaged after 6 months, another 1 year. There is no exact time. When the time is right, it will happen.
