The 1st Amendment. Possibly the most important one in the land.

You refer to the 1st Ammendment of the US Constitution, part of the Billof Rights. There are of course limitations on both of those freedoms, which are too lengthy to detail without more
specific details.

The 1rst amendment states we have freedom of speech and freedom from a government controlled religion.Not freedom from religion ,but freedom of religion.(England had a mandatory religion that's why the Pilgrims left)

Yes.....or something. No one should get a high school diploma without having read through it and the Bill of Rights (ammendments) at least once.
