dell xps-dells premium line of gaming laptops made for the gamer ......hardcore gamer they usually have a quality construction and are real power houses as they have the newest graphic cards aka-nvidia geforce 7950gtx (m1710)

core 2 duo processors
and are loaded wit 2 gb of ram mostly but it all depends on ur configuration
the xps line consist of 3 models namely
dell XPS m1210-this is their cheapest and te smallest of their line sporting a 12.1 inch scewwn and a nvidia graphic card which is on of the best graphic crads u can ask for for a laptop this size
dell xps-m1710-this is mostly preferred by mobile gamers and sports a 17 inch screen and blinking lights which is unique for any laptop and one of its trademarks and mostly one of the selling points rather than its lower sibling the e1705 which is much cheaper
the m1710 has everything a gamer can ask for a grat graphiccard
nvidia 7950gtx 2 gb ram core 2 duo processor a sub woofer blue ray compatibility and much more when fully loaded but also carries a hefty price tag mostly 1500 plus when its fully loaded it climbs to the 5000$ mark
the dell xps 2010-this is a huge laptop if u decide to call it a laptop that is it sports a 20.1 inch screen
thats hugs it has a battery life of 30 minutes and a monster of a machine but ten again dell honours their xps line by makin it beautiful by sing a foldable design it has all te sweet point of the m1710 if not more oter than the screen and the detachable screen and the bigger than ever price tag meant for a true blue gamer its the same

If your talking about the Dell XPS it's just a model name. Kinda like Toyota Corola vs Toyota Camery. Both Toyotas just different model.
