Get them Christmas ornament with their name on it. My son is almost seven month and that is what I’m getting him, and I will be getting him one every year. Those are the Christmas presents that will stay with them for life

You don't need to get them anything-seriously.If anything maybe a stuffed animal or some toys that they can play with when older. They are so little they will not remember-so don't go spending big bucks on them. The best is the 1st Christmas where they can open presents by themselves and get excited! My son is 19 months and at this age now!It will be a fun Christmas!

Get them toys that will stimulate them. When my son was 3 weeks old I got him the baby einstein discovering water Play Mat Gym. He's came so far with that toy. First he stared at it, then a couple weeks alter he was swinging his arms out at the toys that dangle. The music and lights kept him occupied for long periods of time.
He's now 5 and a half months and he still LOVES this toy! So my suggestion is get them play mats that have music and dangling toys! It doesnt have to be expensive...you can buy extra toys to put on it!
As far as this being their first christmas...get them personalized Stockings and Tree ornaments...with their name and picture on them. And lots of pictures!!! Make a photo ALBUM!

Don't stress about it !! They will not know for several years ! ...but, since you asked: something that would be a sweet tradition, would be an annual letter. Write one to each child, telling that child what (about him/her) has been in your heart the last year. Save a copy in a special scrapbook, one for each baby. Keep another in a separate place, just in case of loss (like, in a house fire, G-d forbid). Over the years, they will cherish those annual letters from mommy. You could mention how Daddy reacted when he first found out they'd be twins; or how they are unique already, even so little; or what about them surprised you this week. Be honest but positive. Over time, I bet you will look forward to writing the letters, just as much as they look forward to reading them.

at this age, the best thing you can give them is a calm mother....don't stress so much about the holiday, of course celebrate.....your kids are too young to care really.....they will be happy with whatever you give them.....get floor toys and clothes.....I am sure they will enjoy watching flashing lights of a Christmas tree.....enjoy this first Christmas...next year they will be mobile!!!! Take a deep breath and have a good time with them...they will not stay little long!

I don't think you have to get them much since they can't even figure out what their hands are for yet. I had a baby in Sept. and I am just getting her a few little toys, like blocks, and then things I am going to need/want to buy later anyway, like a highchair and exersaucer.

Get them things they need like clothes, or anything else you didnt get from the babyshower that you still need. They are too young to know what they are getting so you may as well get them things they need, before they are old enough to know what they want.

I would really wait to get them anything big until next year, since they are both still so young.
