Okay I've read something now i'm worried about it,about 2 years ago i went and had a bunch of stuff done with my teeth(never had insurance)so wanted to do it all together cheaper for me,anyway dentist said he needed to remove old silver fillings about 4 (from when i was a kid)and refill them again and then he said i need 3 new ones like a total of 7 silver fillings.Well i did it thinking that its the best thing for my teeth. Now ive read how bad they are for you and about miscarriges and all kinda stuff.Well ive been TTC for 1 and a half years now and have had a molar pregnancy and two early miscarriges,so now im worried that this could have something to do with it ..... or is it just in my head now that i read about it..Also id like to hear from moms who have alot of silver fillings and NO proplems TTC.Also having them removed is not a option for me now..im in my thirties and cant wait anymore and also i heard having them removed is worse. Thanks

I have a bunch of silver fillings in my teeth left over from when I was a child. I have never had a dentist tell me that they needed to be removed, except if they were cracked or something. Hmmmm....I haven't ever heard of a relationship between the silver fillings and miscarriages. I have so many fillings in my teeth....if they were bad for me, I would be really sick by now.
I have one healthy child and one on the way. I haven't ever had trouble TTC....got pregnant on first try with # 1 and after 2 trys with # 2.
Sorry you have been through such a tough time with this! Best of luck and best of wishes for a future happy and healthy pregnancy~

those people could desire to get a grip.... Silver lasts in molar the teeth as much as 40 years, with out problems.... White fillings will by no potential final that long....they havent even been around that long! Silver is a huge, durable, solid, stable and completely secure restore that has been in use for a hundred years....it somewhat is the only restore that has a protracted and secure checklist... White filling are VERY technique gentle....which potential if the practitioner makes a mistake in the process the situation, (moisture, no longer ideal crammed and packed) the restore will fail faster and get extra re-decay, as white fillings are already suspeptible to re-decay. IN CA there's a Dental components fact Sheet (google it) that has each and all of the comparative tips.... the previous solutions merely have it incorrect.

I have NEVER heard that before. I have silver fillings from when I was little. And in fact, right after Thanksgiving, the dentist removed one from when I was a kid and re-did and added onto it since I needed another in there. I am 33 weeks now.

My mom has a ton of silver fillings and got pregnant whenever my dad looked at her funny. My gramma has silver fillings too and obviously had kids.lol. I dont think its really a viable concern.

Ask your doctor, though.
