i was in the school library and like this ad popped up and it opened up myspace.....and the librarian asked me what it was and i told her i didnt know and i exited out of it.....and she told me that she was gonna talk to the computer teacher and see if thats possible well other people have been getting on my account and i dont know who it is....and im responsible for it...but i got kicked off the computer for like a week and its not my fault that myspace popped up from a freakin ad ...does this sound unfair to u?

it was an ad linked to myspace and i think i accidentaly clicked on it not really paying attention i was paying attention to my debate work...and this ad popped up i think i accidentaly clicked on it and the myspace popped up.....but the proxy everyone is using is gonna show up on my account cuz everyone has been getting on my name.....so im gonna get in trouble for it....

Heh. This might not be the answer you were seeking, but I'm pretty sure myspace doesn't make pop-up ads. Your story sounds false, and therefore, by not abiding by the rules of your media center, I'd say you got the correct and just punishment.

I don't know about your school, but it takes a lot more than an ad to get to myspace. Takes a proxy site and even then the tech people shut it down pretty quick.

As a good rule, you should never access anything that requires your user name and password from any computer other than your own. You don't know what is running on these machines or who's reading what you typed.
