i will answer this quadratic equations in 2 ways..
1. factoring
(x+9) (x-6) = 0
(x+9)=0 ; (x-6) = 0 (equating to 0)
x = -9 ; x = 6
2. Completing the square
x^2 + 3x = 54
X^2 + 3x + (9/4) = 54 + (9/4)
[x+ (3/2)]^2 = 225/4
[x+ (3/2)]^2 = (15/2)^2
x+3/2 = +15/2....or.. -15/2
x = 15/2 - 3/2........ x = -15/2 - 3/2
= 12/2.......................= -18/2
= 6............................= -9
that's the only help that i can give to you... :-)

x²+3x-54=0
3² - 4.1.-54
9 + 216 = 225
x = (-3 +/-15) : 2
x '= (-3 + 15) : 2 = 6
x" = (-3 -15) : 2 = -9
Solution: {x E R | x = 6 or x = -9}

x^2+9x-6x-54=0
x(x+9)-6(x+9)=0
(x+9)(x-6)=0
x+9=0 or x=-9
and x-6=0 or x=6
thesolutio set is {6,-9}
