I think i probably owned one of those minis that they kept crashing in the original italian job film.What a load of sh@t that car was.

I saw a Land Rover used in the 1963 Great Train Robbery once. It was in a car showroom in Birmingham. I also saw a very old Rolls Royce at a motorway service area last year which - the owner told me - had been bought new in 1935 by the famous jockey and trainer Sir Gordon Richards.

I saw the white Range Rover Pope mobile in a museum in Leyland once about 15 years ago. In those more innocent times I was able to get into the back and sit where the pope sat. It was a kind of T bar arrangement so he could stand up but be supported so he didn't fall over.
I know its not a huge claim to fame but its the best I can do

I've seen a 1963 Lincoln sedan that was once owned by JFK in a museum, and a car owned by Steve McQueen once, I think it was a Ferrari.
