I'm 18. If you're younger, how do you view people at that age? And if you're older, how do you view people at that age?

Please include your age as well with your answer :-)

It seems like there's a lot of stereotypes against people of that age. Still a teenager, and yet an adult. There's a lot of mixed views and I'm just curious as how that age is viewed by people from different age prespectives.

When I was 13 I couldn't wait to be 18 and be an adult. When I was 18 I still felt like a child and people still treated me as such and I couldn't wait to be older like 30. Now I am 29 and I look at 18 year olds and think they are still children. I know I hated being treated like that when I was 18 but seeing the things they do and the way they act makes me thankful I am not 18 anymore. I would never want to be 18 again. Now that I am almost 30 I am excited :) I do feel like an adult. I think I act like an adult. I just wish I could stop at 30 and not get any older lol.

I'm 50. Raised 5 kids, all are in their 20s now. The age of 18 is the age where you are supposed to be an adult, and ready for the world. Actually, you've just started learning. School just gave you the tools you need to get started. The rest of life is on the job training. Bill Cosby nailed it. "All people between the ages of 15 and 25 have brain damage". Once a person reaches the age of 25, lights seem to come on in their heads, and their parents aren't stupid anymore.

I see 18 year olds as very, very young. I remember being 18 and thinking how grown up I was. Looking back I can now see that I was a baby. Life changes you sooooo much between 18 - 25 then changes even more to 30. If I had to freeze at any age I would pick 30. Still young but mature enough to make responsible decisions. I'm 46 now.

I am 34. I feel that youth is wasted on the young. I thought I was so beyond my years... I was not. I made mistakes and when you get to my age you see that. I have a good life, own my own business, 5 bedroom house etc... I wish I would have understood that when you have a child, the father will always be a part of your life.... you will live for your child. Stress less. Plan better. Don't worry about failingor looking foolish, we all do but we always manage to get back on our feet.

I usually catch myself wishing I was that age again and could start over. I think 18 is a wonderful age- you're on the brink of adulthood and with the right choices you can go anywhere.

P.S. I'm 35 now

the concern with being a youthful female and courting an older guy is that extremely typically the older guy is courting the more youthful female because he would not opt to strengthen up.... Older women want such issues as dedication (marriage) and youngsters...they prefer a guy to be more desirable intense and a thanks to circumvent this....? do not date older women.. So, what occurs ultimately is that you already do not ignore that the courting is useless-end because you'll ultimately determine out your life and he has already found out his and his would not contain marriage or kin...and perchance yours does? i'm no longer announcing this would for constructive ensue, actually that it really is more desirable likely than no longer that if, at 36, he remains interested in a woman who isn't interested in settling down, he may under no circumstances be... So, i wager in summation...what i'm attempting to assert is that there probable isn't some thing fairly incorrect in case you only like the guy, date him and performance a reliable time...yet don't be lower than any phantasm that he's in a roundabout way more desirable mature than you because my wager is that you're going to outgrow him, if no longer in some weeks or months than maximum likely in a remember of years..

I'm very responsible for my age, but I can act like a little kid every once in a while :)

I'm 22. I have realized that I really don't know sh*t. I used to think I did. I have also stopped trying to plan my life... none of my plans worked out. I think being 18 was exciting, but I'm glad it's over with, and I wouldn't choose to do it again.

I don't see anyone as an adult until they hit 21. And even then that's still young. (I'm 26)

Anyway, I think of 18, and I think still in high school. Nuff said.
