No, CD-Rs can't be reused. If the CD was a CD-RW you could overwrite it, but you can't with a CD-R.

i ought to apply the recordable ones (CD-R) because they're a lot more on your price range (round 40-50 cents in line with disc, compared to over $a million.00 for a RW). oftentimes, CD-RWs are used to move files and are used more advantageous than once; the conception being that you could use one CD over and yet yet again as a replace of a sparkling one each and each and every time... this is why they're fee-useful for some human beings. although, because you're saying you're making a mix CD for a pal, you're unlikely to ever see or use that CD back, that may be a waste of money.

Normally, CD-R cannot be re-used (only CD-RW) can. However, if those discs are not full, and were recorded in sessions and not closed, you could record on the remaining space. Your CD recording program should tell you how much space is available for recording. You can conceal the earlier recordings, but you can't record over them.

Kinda copying of the coaster idea but they make really good projectiles as long as you throw em like a frizbee. and if you only use it as a data cd you can keep burning untill the disk is full.

Only CD RW can be rewritten. That's what the RW stands for rewritable. The good news is they're so cheap now that no big deal.

CDRs cannot be reused if they have been "closed" which they probably have. If they are open, you can add data to them, but not erase them. CDRWs can be reused again and again.
