It will all be shaken out here in the next three weeks. You certainly can not count the Bengals out. But as they say, on any given Sunday...... The secret right now, down the stretch, is to be up for every game.

This season has had its share of strange occurrences resulting in interesting victories for various teams.
That being said, the Bengals BLEW a 21 point lead and lost to the Chargers. San Diego may be riding LT, but then again any team with the caliber of RB that is LaDainian would do that.
Also, the Bengals were hammered by New England 38-13, lost to TAMPA BAY 14-13, dropped three in a row to Atlanta (29-27), Baltimore in their first meeting (26-20), and San Diego (49-41). They played well against New Orleans (31-16) although Brees passed for 510 yards that day.
Cincinnati is a tough team, but with the offensive weapons they possess, 8-5 is not very impressive.
This MNF game against the Colts will turn into a shootout instead of a defensive struggle. If the Bengals want to reamin in contention for a playoff spot, they need to win this game. The question is which Bengals defense will show up that game, since Cincinnati's hopes are riding on that portion of the team.

Should have beaten the Chargers? If they were good enough they would have. The Chargers were without their three best defensive players for that game, and it was in Cinci. If the Bengals ever had a chance of beating the Chargers it was that game, they have absolutely ZERO chance of beating them now. Good god son! The Bolts have only lost two games by a total of 6 points, and both were on the road! And unless some fluke happens, they will be getting home field advantage in the playoffs. The only "more than likely" in the AFC is the Chargers going to the superbowl. Fact.
Oh, and "Whole team riding on L.T."? Go ahead and check the stats and see who leads all TE's in yards and TD's, that's right, it's GATES. And perhaps you've forgotten about Rivers who holds a 96.3 passer rating and has thrown 18 TD's. Or how about the fact that the Chargers lead the league in sacks. Face it, the Chargers are the best team in football, period.

Any of the AFC teams that make the playoffs are capable of getting to the Superbowl. The Bengals are on a role. Winning breeds confidence, especially when you win in December. Sure, why not the Bengals.

just wanted to point out the bengals were missing more key players in the chargers game than the chargers and their juiced up linebacker(castillo too). and not to say lt is all the have but the run does set up the pass, and when your wrs suck, that leaves only lt and gates to throw to. if the chargers only had an average rb, they would be a very average team.
and the bucs game should have been over when justin smith executed a textbook sack on whats his name, but instead the bengals got a pentalty in the worst call i have ever seen

No, the Bengals are not going to the Super Bowl. Their offense can win games yes, but it is defense that wins championships, and theirs is lacking. If they are unable to establish the run their team becomes one dimensional VERY quick. They are a good team, and getting better. But they are not there yet. Sorry there Buddie!

Oh, OK. They SHOULD have beaten the Chargers, but they DID lose to Tampa Bay and DID give up 510 yards passing to the Saints.
But as long as it isn't Pukesburgh that goes, I'm fine with it.
