In highschool my best friends brother kept asking me out and we all know that is a NO NO! So one day he finally asked why and the only thing I could think of was " Im sorry I dont date guys with long hair" it was about to his shoulders and the next day he came to school with a military short cut so I had to go out with him! We are still married to this day! Darn romantic for a 16 year old boy!

You are asking a woman who got married in a corridor and then spent her honeymoon looking at roadside stalls for volvo hubcaps, as her brand new husband crashed his brothers car on our way to the civic office.

When I moaned about this to my husband, he said, 'how can you say that's not romantic? Who else do you know that got married like that?'

Is there ANYONE ELSE out there who did?

On the other hand, he does buy me flowers occassionaly, and is quite sweet I suppose. Romantic though? I have NEVER had a romantic man, send me one!

I paid for a trip for me and my ungrateful (now ex) boyfriend to have a long weekend in Norway a few Xmas's ago to see the Northern Lights. Paid for everything in order to perk him up. The horrible man never even bought me flowers in 6 years and on my 21st birthday bought me a £20 Eastpak backpack. Nice!

my guy took me to the walk thing we have in town that runs beside a creek with bridges and benches, and he told me we have to sit down at every bench and kiss and hug then on the way back he told me we have to sit down and make a statement, promise or something that has to do with how we feel about each other all the way back, needless to say there was alot of benches , and it was romantic and sweet and a very special 3 hours!!!

When my boyfriend and I first started dating he did some research and found out what kinds of food I liked to eat and then cooked me dinner. It was so sweet and so nice! He even did all the dishes and told me to just sit and relax. He had a card sitting at my plate that made me melt!

I gave my boyfriend a champange bath with rose petals by candle light and slow music from Brian McKnight. I had to add in the whip cream and strawberries too!

my boyfriend wrote 4 songs for me - he played all the instruments (guitar, piano and drums), recorded each piece on to the computer, and then put it all together on a cd for me. i know some people like expensive gifts, or a nice meal in a restaurant, but i think that this is so much better than that...... the fact that he's specifically written the songs with me in mind, and gone to all that trouble makes me feel so loved.

The most romantic thing Sally Anne Catlin ever did for me was leave me alone, finally.
