some times it takes a while for babies to accept new texture in their food. He's use to the purreed food and now he's got chunks he's gotta break up. I wouldn't worry, it just takes time. Try masking it with some stage 2 that he really likes. Thats what it took to feed my son. He would only open his mouth for fruit so each spoon ful had the dinner under some fruit. Worked every time.

my twins had the same problem with the acid reflux. the first thing i can tell you is my dr said it was a waste of money buying 3rd stage food as you can start feeding the baby the foods you fix yourself. when they are teething they would not eat anything except for cereal or toast, no meat or veggies, and i was very worried. come to find out not only was the teething an issue but growth spurts have alot to do with it. the baby ate like a pig when they had a growth spurt and will do it again at one year, just wait and see. the acid reflux was controlled by meds and disolved on its own by one year old. the trick to hid food under say applesauce works well too. i also have tried yogurt or applesauce mixed in with juice in cups and that works well too. hope this helps!

9 months? Jayzus! Give the kid a break, you've probably been shoveling food into his gut since he was 3 months old!

Children shouldn't be into the stage 3 foods until a year.

Babies aren't to be eating solids until 6 months old!

My daughter HATED stage 3 baby food. I started her on soft "adult" food and she loved it. She never did eat the stage 3 food. (Pasta, applesauce, fruit, veggies, etc. making sure they were cut up into very, very, very small bites.)
