Uhhh....it's a vacuum solenoid that controls the EGR.

The EGR Vacuum Solenoid is a valve that sends vacuum to your EGR Valve. If the Solenoid fails, the EGR Valve will not receive the vacuum it needs to open the valve. The EGR Valve is a emissions control device that regulates the NoX emissions from your car.
