i had a problem with the transmission. they fixed it but then it happened again. so i just took it in for the 3rd time today. its a honda civic ex stickshift with 37k miles. this happened in a short period of time since i took it in for the first time. so it was less than a month that i took it in 3 times. on the receipt they put that they replaced the bearings, and some other thing i forgot because it was making like a rattling sound. but now after taking it for the 3rd time, it seems its getting worse because now the stick is like moving forward and backward after being in gear. so when i have the gas pedal level as im driving like 50 its backward but as soon as i let go of the gas pedal it goes forward. it should not do that because it never did do that and its unusal.

Try googling "lemon law". But it just sounds like the torque in your engine is causing your transmission to move. Maybe a broken/loose motor mount, or loose transmission mount.

No you can not sue the dealer . But it sounds like they forgot tight tighten either the trans or engine mounts. This allows the engine and trans to move. Not good. I would think about going to another dealer. Plus you could write Honda and tell them of your concerns with the dealer if you get no satisfaction. But remember you will get better service is you be cool and calm. No one likes to deal with a hot head you'll get better service if you respect them. A tech is like a car doc sometime the dia. is not right the first time . Good luck hope its fix this time

I don't believe lemon laws apply to used cars, If you can give the car back to the dealership, I would do so. If you purchased a warranty, I would have them fix it until its right.
