It's three years! There is no difference. She is considered a peer, equal to you. 5 years in either direction is the same. (ie. - you could have been in HS together.) Anything over 5 years is just a little younger or older and not a big deal at all. The only time you start running into generational problems is at 15-20 years difference. At that point really it depends on the people involved if they can cope with such a gap. Most can, some can't.

My sister is 2 years older than her husband, and they have been happily married for at least 16 years now.

Disadvatage? I guess her hitting her prime sexually if you don't like sex would be a disadvantage.

Having a woman that knows what she wants can be a disavantage if you like trying to figure everything out on your own.

Having a sense of stability and security if you like chaos....

So really nothing just based on age difference of 3 years...LOL

She's most likely to be a target for men close to her age or older and she can easily leave you for them because they are more dominant. Women who marry men two years younger are more are easy targets for extramarital affairs with older men. That's a disadvantage. Men are supposed to be dominant while women are supposed to be subservient. Marriages between older women and younger men don't last long because older men can easily snatch older women from younger men. Older men have a lot to offer while younger men don't.

She'll be 48 when you are 45 and that's a big difference.
