It's just about the individual I think. If people focus on the negative aspects a lot they'll surely think it's been harder to be them. So it's the attitude that makes the decision.

This is a really touchy issue. Both sexes have difficult lives. But as a whole it really doesn't matter which sex has it worse because each sex has strengths the other will never possibly understand. It isn't really a matter of a group issue rather an individual issue that because they are a member of one sex or the other has trouble pursuing a goal and their weaknesses are exactly those that prevent the goal from being accomplished.

The issues of our society and country as a whole relating to women is the result of a goal focus change. Some Women want different things. There are men that don't want to happen but then again a question; how often does that really stop a woman?

How much does our society deter away from the side of men on morale issues?

Women may have larger difficulty obtaining to their goals but what is this difficulty compared to? Is it compared to the ease of which men might obtain the same goal? Or is it compared to the amount of change is required to move out of their own social norm to achieve these goals?

I believe the issue is not one of a group but of individuals difficulty to obtain a goal that is not easy for one of initial predisposition.

Well for the first issue here, you will not understand a woman's plight because you are male. The same way I can not understand the plight of a male because I am female. Each gender has their own set of pros and cons, no one is better than the other, we just have different things to combat in order to live day to day.

BUT because this world is run mainly based upon a male's ideaology, women do have it harder because for the most part, the first thing a male does when you look at us is to place us in a subordinate or inferior role. The same thing for a woman's ideaology though. When we see a male we automatically assume you want to work to provide for and protect your family. But for alot of women, that is a BIG misconception.

So, instead of being sexist in your thinking, just embrace that we both have issues to deal with to make it.

Taking care of the children, and the household chores is a full time job, now we have to work outside the home as well as inside, Both jobs are still full time. To beat that we are expected to preform all of these task and are still expected to look good for our man when we go to bed at night. If we want help with taking care of the kids we often have to do so much griping that we would have done better just doing it ourselves. All that and a menstrual cycle. Not to mention when we have to do all these things while our bladders are being kicked by a future soccer player!

A man works from sun to sun
A woman's work is never done.

Women make a lot of compromises as well, are paid less for the same job, are told they are witches (with a b) if they express an opinion or disagree with a man, are expected to look like porn stars, and are expected to keep a full-time job as well as keep up the house and get dinner on the table on time, plus take care of the kids the majority of the time.

Because men still essentially are the main power-holders in this world. They occupy more than 90% of the political positions, more than 75% of the highest-paying jobs, they own most of the property, hold more powerful positions in academia, literature, music, art, science, business etc. Women have to contend with that power EVERY DAY in one way or the other. Add to that the fact that most men STILL consider women to be lesser, weaker, less capable, less professional and generally less competant and perhaps you can see how they have it harder.

Because women DO have it harder than men. it's as simple as that and if you can't see that you must go round with your eyes closed. it is women who give birth, rear the children, do the housework, hold down a job, then at night is a lover with her husband unless she has a headache.

Women compromise, too. Compromise is a part of life. I don't think that I have it harder than a man, and I don't think that men have it harder than me. Not all women believe that--heck, not even most of us.
