I didn't see this movie. Here is my opinion: the holocaust was a terrible event in the human history.
What is more terrible than Holocaust is the fact that there are many people today that deny the Holocaust.
For example the Iranian leader and other terrorist organizations are claiming that the Holocaust was invented by Jews.
This proves that the evil and the Satan is still alive and if the free world is not unified against these terrorist organizations, then 100% there will be another kind of Holocaust.

I haven't seen the movie or read the book. But, the Holocaust in general was horrific. Just the thought that it didn't happen that long ago is also disturbing. Just yesterday I was browsing though different websites related to this topic. The torture these people, not just Jews, went through proves just how far a "hate crime" can go. These people performed experiments that you could only imagine in a horror movie. Injecting ink in children's eyes to see if they could change their color. Sewing the veins of twins together to attempt "creating" Siamese twins, the list goes on and on.

I read the book when I was 11 years old, and visiting my grandparents. I never forgot it.
The holocaust was one of the most horrific things in the history of the world. Of course, there are others, but this is absolutely inhumane and just too horrible for words to describe. That people ever came out alive is a miracle in itself.
And to think it happened in the "modern" age is really scary too.

Human nature is evil. My father was a World War II vet. He helped liberate one of the concentration camps. When he heard that Iran was hosting a conference to disprove the Holocaust he laughed. He still has bad dreams about what he saw over 60 years ago. It's amazing the total deprivation of man and what they will do to other humans. We must all look inside ourselves and question what we are capable of doing; it's scary and sad.

Wow! What an awesome book . I named my daughter Betsy after Betsie Ten Boom , because I wanted her to be a woman of faith like that . My feelings were that a person really has to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live through that with joy. And BTB had joy . My opinion is that is 100% true and my reaction was to quit complaining .It was uplifting ( strangely) and it strengthened my faith .

Drivel. The holocaust was a judgement. To the Jew first and also to the Greek.
