Yes, I have adopted many over the years. Some were better than others, but there is a special place in my heart for all of them.

Sure and I would feed it and take care of it and place it on a shrine for my first ever adopted book...If anyone attempted to damage it they would have to deal with the guard dragon...I'm serious...

Depends on what you mean by that.
Give me a good book for free to own, read and take good care of, just as if I'd actually bought it? Sure.
Do a ridiculous amount of paperwork and beaurocracy wrestling just to eventually get a book, based on someone's judgement on wheter I'd be a good book owner? Nope, don't think so.
