It depends on what you mean by "the same cards".

There are 1326 different 2 card combinations in holdem.

If you mean the same exact cards, Ace of Clubs and Ace of Diamonds, the chances are about 1 in 1,326 that you'll get the same two cards next hand. If you want to know what your chances of hitting these specific two cards are over your next two hands, then it is 1 in 1,758,276.

If you mean the same hand by strength then it depends on the strength. AA (1 in 221) occurs less frequently than AK offsuit (1 in 110), and AK (1 in 321) suited occurs even less frequently than AA.

Your chance of hitting AA twice in a row is 1 in 48,841 (221 x 221) , but if you are looking down at AA, your chance of hitting it on your next hand too is still 1 in 221.

AK offsuit twice in a row works out to 1 in 12100.

It happens, I have seen guys get dealt pocket rockets 2 hands in a row! My wife was dealt K-8 three hands in a row the other night. 10 person table.

Sorry I do not know the odds.

If the cards were the exact same (meaning denomination AND suit, the chance would be 1 in 2552. If just the denominations were the same, the chance would be 1 in 156, so not too slim, but still kind of freaky when you see it.
