Try having sex missionary position to decrease the chances of losing any sperm. Right after sex, lift your pelvis and have your partner slide a pillow under your butt. Keeping your pelvis elevated for about 20-30 minutes will allow gravity to help out a bit. Also, if you can remain lying down for as long as possible, the better, so have sex just before bed. Although there will still be a lot that comes out, enough will stay in there to do the job. Good luck.

It's best to just ignore the people who make rude comments. Your testicles, which are located in your scrotum, constantly make sperm. Sperm are microscopic with a long tail. Several million sperm can be found in the semen during each ejaculation. The semen is made by combining fluids from the seminal vesicles, the prostate gland, and the sperm. So, what you wipe up after ejaculation is the semen. Most of the sperm are in the semen that comes out during the ejaculation. But, kind of like a garden hose when you turn the water off, you can sometimes still get a little bit out. Sometimes ejaculation is not complete and the semen continues to leak out for awhile afterwards. It is messy, but perfectly normal. It does contain sperm, so be careful if you are using a condom for birth control. If you take the condom off and continue to leak semen, there is still a risk of pregnancy if the semen is leaking close to her vagina. Semen that has been wiped or washed off, however, no longer contain live sperm.

There is a large amount that is ejaculated, and its that initial act (or force) that dictates how much seman and sperm makes it through the cervix. It cant all get through there, so much of it comes right back out. Thats what you're wiping away after sex.

Your own fluids act as a catalist for the sperm that made it through the cervix, so it can make its journey to the fallopian tubes and the egg.

Its normal for residual amounts to come back out, along with your own discharge, or a few hours, or even the next day, but its generally not noticeable.

What makes it through the cervix is what matters, and you really cant control that. Some doctors will tell you to stick a pillow under you hips and lay on your back for half an hour after sex... but honsetly, they say this as a placebo effect... to make you feel like you're playing an active part in the process :)

You can try that, and it might make you feel better, but it really doesnt make a difference as to whether or not you convieve, since its the initial burst of semen through the cervix that counts :)

G'luck!

dont worry about the spelling people know what you mean you just get the odd one who likes to be sarcastic and stuck up.

even though alot might come out afterwards there is still alot of sperm that stays in you.

if you are trying for a baby and worried that when it comes out theres not alot of sperm left in you put a pillow underneath your butt when you have sex.afterward leave it there for say 10 minutes and put your legs up in the air. this allows gravity to do its job.

hope this helps x
