at the onset of 'yahoo answer's they say there is no need to have to think of the right keyword, why not ? are they encouraging bad spelling.

Its a generalization. It doesnt mean that they are encouraging bad spelling, it just means that people know what you are talking about most of the time so dont try to think of an extremely specific keyword.

Not sure why you see a relationship between spelling and the need for a keyword. I'm not finding the correlation. Maybe you could reword your question??

No, they are not encouraging bad spelling, they are just trying to encourage as much communication as possible. No holding back.
