I was carrying my Harry Potter book around the other day when I noticed people watching me. That got me wondering how many of those people have read the books themselves. So as a simple survey: How old were you when you read Harry Potter? (I'm 25)

18! Love the books. The movies take so much from it :-( I completely hate it when people DON'T read the books at all and just watch the movies and judge Harry Potter based soley on that. They are nothing alike. I start rereading all the books everytime a new one comes out so by the time it does, I am completely amped up for it. I cant WAIT till the 7th one! :-)

When I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 1997, I was 54 years old. I've read all the subsequent books and seen the movies.
The books were/are instant classics that provide entertainment and great satisfaction at any/every age level.

I started reading the HP series a few years ago. I'm not 63 and until I retired I rode the bus to work. During that time I saw many fellow HP fans on the bus (they read on the way to work) that were 45 to 60. No age limit for good reading.

My niece lent them to me at about the time when the fifth book came out and I decided to give them a try since she said they were really good and I'd recently read an invertview with Stephen King where he said he liked them. I must've been around 24 or 25 when I read them.

I am 20, but I started reading them when I was 13. And I can't wait for the final book in the series!

There's a group of my co-workers that get together after each new book and movie comes out, and we keep track of news and rumors and send each other updates - and at 25, I'm the youngest. My mom first talked me into reading them, she just turned 50. I think my uncle recommended them to her, and he's in his 40's. His daughters who are both in high school also read them.

One is never too old or too young to enjoy a well written novel. Harry Potter included.
