I can't say that I know what you mean here...Football/soccer is possibly one of the greatest sports ever...I mean..it is ridiculously cool.
***Oh you mean American Football! Well, everyone likes different things. Personally I don't bother much for American footy, but I love football/soccer!

All sport is a combination of preparation, strength, skill, teamwork, and intelligence. Each sport has different requirements for these factors. Then there is history and boredom. These are essential in as a spectator.
History enables you to have an opinion about the competitors, especially your favorite competitor. For example, if you don't know your history you won't know whether a win by Manchester United is more impressive than a win by Everton.
Boredom is essential because it allows builds the suspense, especially in a long drawn out event.

Lol i wouldn't say it was ridiculous, completely blown out of proportion yes. After all its just sport. what i do think is ridiculous is how football players get payed more than people like doctors and nurses and worshipped like gods.

I dunno. I don't think it is ridiculous. I don't really go crazy about it myself and I live in Texas, but I understand why people love it.
I think some people don't know how to play. It requires some learning. Many people do not like things that they don't understand. It is called ignorance or low IQ.
Also, entertainers and athletes do get paid more than doctors and nurses cause they do inspire us. A doctor can heal your physical wounds, but good celebrities motivate and inspire us and help us choose to live our dreams.

well i like football some people have different personality and they might like something else like i hate cricket it not a good gamefootbal is pretty fun once u r used to it i used to hate football but got used to it and like it

I'm not a big sports fan. But I do enjoy it sometimes.
Someone will say what you enjoy is ridiculous. And you'll say "HEY NO IT'S NOT".
It's all what the person is into.
