For those who don't know what the G-14 is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G-14

Description of teams in question:
Chelsea - Probably the richest club in the world (thanks to their owner)

Benfica - Guiness Book certified as having the most paying supporters in the world.

Roma - Biggest club outside of Northern Italy.

Celtic/Rangers - Clearly the two biggest teams in Scotland, and among the most supported in Europe.

Because G-14 was created pre-Abramovich era, and Chelsea wasn't big then.

Benfice had a drought of no success in that period, so they weren't in.

Roma probably wasn't included due to financial troubles.

Celtic and Rangers too weren't considered 'big' enough to be included back then.

i do no longer see how Chelsea is going to break down Luisao, Garay and Javi Garcia. Napoli sucks defensively and the only way they could beat them replaced into with crosses. Crosses at the instant are not likely to artwork against the huge Benfica defenders like Luisao and Garay. Chelsea's attack has been adverse all season and once you have an expert counter attacking group like Benfica with men like Witsel, Aimar, Cardozo, Gaitan, Oliveira, Rodrigo, Nolito.... there are going to be some problems for Chelsea. They in all possibility have the main underrated attack in international soccer. None of those gamers are somewhat vast names yet watch while they play Chelsea, they run defenders ragged. Cole and Ivanovic are going to have a nightmare.

They are not in the g-14 because they have never been invited to join the group or they d'ont agree with the direction the g-14 is going.
