I took Spirlina and then got hypothroidism do you that take a muti vitamin an deat the size of your fist that is ho big your stomach is liek 4X a day. go light on carbs 3 x of protein and veggies..you will lose, I have.

the reason you MAY loose weight with Kelp tablets is that it contains a lot of Iodine, which could increase the production of your thyroid hormone, leading to increased metabolic rate. you might even feel "up"
There is a very fine balance in the body between the different hormones that control everything from growth to daily metabolism. Having too much thyroid hormone could lead to rapid heart rate, chest pain, fever, shortness of breath.
Now of there is nothing wrong with your thyroid gland and you don't take super doses of iodine then it goes to waste. If there is a potential problem and/or you take too much iodine then you could be facing health risks. Problem is you don't know how much iodine you are getting from Kelp tablets.

as for actual experience regarding weight loss, i really don't know.

kelp can help you lose weight by speeding up your metabolism if you are iodine deficient. However, too much iodine can make you have thyroid problems down the road. Everything in moderation. I have a thyroid problem and just recently started taking kelp (only 1 pill a day) because I did an iodine patch test which showed I was iodine deficient.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

sea kelp is a vegetable high in chlorophyl. I don't know of any special acids or whatnot but I am no scientist. Look up "thermogenic foods" on the web. Good luck.
