For example, I have probably met 20 Amber's in my life....and can't say that I've had a positive experience with a single one of them....I just in general have bad luck with anyone named Amber! Its about the same for girls named Brittany-not nearly as bad tho! I haven't had much luck with boys named Josh as well.
I don't mean that offensively if those are any of your names, odds are I haven't met you so you could possibly break the cycle!
Do you have any names that you can't think of many nice people who have that name? Just wondering!

I really love this question. This is a reason it is so hard for me to choose a name for my baby. (plus I am not sure if it is a boy or girl :) I agree about the people named Meagan. No offense to anyone named Meagan. I can say that I agree on what I have experienced with the people named Amber and Brittany. I was cheated on by a Josh and my cousin Josh is the meanest little kid. I guess since there is only so many names, The more popular ones are bound to leave people with stereo types against them. It's sometimes hard to remember the nice people with those names if there are a lot of bad associations with that name.

Maybe you're judging harshly based on previous experience? Seriously, most people decide within 30 seconds of meeting someone how they feel about them.
Our brains are wired to treat new experiences like something similiar that came before. So, let's say you meet an Amber and hate her. The next time you meet an Amber, your subconscious says "Oh, crap. Another one" without your realizing it.
So you subtly act in a certain manner, without knowing what you're doing, then Amber picks up that you just don't like her. She doesn't know you, but you seem to hate her, so the two of you just don't ever click. Your brain is like "See? All Ambers are buttheads" and the cycle repeats itself over and over ad nauseum.
As an Army brat, I have met quite a lot of people. And there are so many names to go around, so it's not long before everyone you meet has the same name as someone you used to know, probably two or three someones. And I've never noticed any correlation between names and personalities.
Except Todd. Todds are buttheads.

Yeah I used to love the name Chloe until I met a really horrible one, I know it's bad but I just accosiate any Chloes with her now! I've met nice Ambers, but not very nice Brittany's in my experience......sorry!

It seems like some names are automatically for certain types of people. Every Barbara and Margaret I know is a secretary. Eugenes are pretty much nerds or at least really smart. People named Tiffany or something like that are usually the popular stuck up type. Ashleys and Brittneys are like that too. Kristals are usually kinda ho-ish. No offense to anyone...

well first of all I have two friends named Amber lol. But I do agree with you about the correlation.
Josh is one boy name, John and Jon (spelling does make a difference, weird huh?), uhm, kyle, and like another girl said megan..
I REFUSE to name any of my kids "bad" names- I have Summer, Richard, and soon to be born Lawrence.

Yes I hate the name Dawn, I know three Dawn's that I can't stand... two of them are whores, and the other one is a stuck up biotch that swears she knows it all. I hate the name Trina, because the one I know is a little liar that creates dangerous rumors about people that is not true, and trys to get them to go to prison and she is 100% evil... I hate the name Charlyn because she is someone who is a combination of the people above but a million times worse!! She is satan with a vagina!

Jessica. Met 5, all 5 were B**chs! I knew 2 Bree's and they both were snotty jerks. I met so many girls named Kelly that were obnoxious but than I met one that was the sweetest person I ever met, she's my best friend to this day!
James. If they go by James they seem to be self-centered heartbreakers, and if they go by Jim they most likely are total pricks.

I haven't got on with anyone called Farzaneh. There has been other names but can't recall, you're right it sometimes happens. It's becos of numerology perhaps & each name has a vibrational energy. Each letter of a name has a meaning. ( I found this from a book).
