Librarians are not like Nuns/Priests. Taking a vow of celibacy. It would be inappropriate if it was at a funeral or at the librarian's wedding. Other than that I can't think of any reason not to go for it.

Unless you are less than 25 TEN years old age doesn't matter.
If you are 16 and she's 26 that's a NO NO
