It seems to me they only make crap like Wedding Crashers, The 40 Year Old Virgin, and Old School (none of them even remotely funny.) Any suggestions? Any thing great like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or Dr. Strange Love around now?

Look for a film called "Die Mommie Die"

I think you might find it pretty good. But, I am like you- they aren't making them anymore

Not lately, but a good Dark comedy with Ben Stiller is called Permanent Midnight. He plays a writer for TV that is a heroine junky. Great movie

I liked Donnie Darko. Dunno if that's a comedy, though. The English are still doing it. And there's always rentals.

i hated this movie - but it is getting rave reviews - very dark - very much a satire - not funny in a lot of places - offends many - but the movie is borat - with sacha cohen

For this time of year try Bad Santa. It doesn't get any darker than that.
