he's fine...I used to do that, and I am a female. Now I am the proud owner of a line of very high end sculpted dragons.
It means he is a child of fire..probably an Aries

Why does he have to have a mental problem because he likes dragons? I knew a guy in school who only liked to draw and always talked about cartoon superheroes, sorta like Power Rangers. He grew up to become a successful artist.

Just because people are not what we think they should be in order to be labeled normal does not mean something is wrong with them. How about embracing his fantasy to see why he always likes dragons.

Maybe the dragons are his escape from problems at home in which case he may have a problem or maybe he just likes dragons. But you might want to talk to him more to find out.

Dont be so quick to assume.

Would be good for him to study this very ancient mythical creatures where they were created in countries like the country of Wales and China. I think dragons are cool. I'm imagining myself as a princess guarded by dragons and a cute looking prince rescues me. Great fun!

As a child I was obsessed with drawing horses.....I'm ok, I think.

Get him the book titled "The Flight of Dragons" it hypothesises on how they flew, lived, died, why there are no skeletal remains... good read. Allow him to become the resident Dragon Expert.

when i was ten, i was really into dinosaurs and scary stories which lead to an interest into the occult, dragons, and magick. i was never into fluffy bunnies or unicorns. psychologically, it might mean that someone into mystical creatures could be a dreamer or is interested in an escape from reality (pretty much like someone who loves movies or likes to read) or it could be related to natural creativity or artistic ability. i don't think it means they're psychologically damaged or anything so i think he's okay.

He is fine, he might be a little nerdy, but fine. Every kid had a phase where they are obsessed with something. It is like little girls and horses. When I was in 5th grade, all the girls in my class loved horses, that is all they talked about, and we even had a horse club! Who knows this kid could grow up to be a famous illustrator or writer! Encourage his creativity.

First, if you are an educator, you need to learn to use the tools. Check your spelling.

This is normal for a 13-year-old. When they are interested in a topic, they tend to be repetitive in their admiration. It's a fad...a trend...it is not harmful.

Be glad it's not female parts or dead bodies.

Oh, he's fine. Unless his "obsession" is negatively affecting him in major areas of his life, there should be no problem. Encourage his creativity!

I'm assuming you are a teacher where he is your student. I do believe you are just a little too close to him. You may want to worry about your lesson plans more than his fascination with dragons
