I want to make "pictures" using symbols like #, @, % etc. and I need help with that. Maybe someone knows some already and can post them here.
What I am looking for is something like this:
(^.^) but a lot bigger :)
Like a heart, or a guitar, feet, anything using the letters, numbers...

You can buy one... but they're expensive and not usually as good as any you'd make. It's easy to make a wand... and if you want a powerful one do this... Walk in a wooded area (park) with your swiss army knife (that's the kind I have, but any pocket knife is good... I anoint mind with oil on days when it does holy work as opposed to daily mundane uses) in your pocket. When you find a tree that talks to you, sit under it and meditate for some time. (20 minutes is usually good) talk to it a bit. When the time is right, cut off a small, thin branch, about the size of your elbow to finger tips. Thank the tree, and later, go to visit this tree regularly if you can... to mediate under it. The energy of that specific, individual tree will empower your wand... Next.. optional.. Get some copper wire, and wrap it around the wand, maybe even glue or tie a quartz crystal into the wand somewhere. (or and amethist or whatever moves you really... not a hemetite or onyx though... you want extra energy, not grounding with your wand) voala... wand.

no you don't have to make your own wand but i wouldn't purchase one on-line i wouldn't even look for it i would ask the gods of your understanding to bring it to you. if you purchase it on-line you can find that it i not fitting for you, when you find the right wand or material to make a wand it will call to you. remember though if you find a branch that is still attached to a bush or tree ask for the branch and then thank its host plant for the gift, you wouldn't want someone to take something of yours without asking and then not thank you for it later. if you do find a manufactured one, remember it doesn't have to be something that was necessarily originally meant to be a wand it could be anything. I've heard of people using crystals, painted dowel rods, flutes/recorders, brooms, canes/walking sticks. i personally have what was formally part of a pair of chop sticks for your hair that was given to me by a dear friend. also try to personalize it by some means, either carving or painting maybe your craft name or runes, maybe by adding to the original some kind of decoration, ribbon, crystals, bell. just allow yourself to be called by the right thing and make it your own, the relationship you will have with this tool will be personal, treat it is such, with as much care and courtesy as you would searching out a new friend you wouldn't just buy one of those off the internet would you?
