Everywhere I go it's Happy Holidays and Seasons Greeting..What about Merry Christmas. Why do people take Christ out of Christmas? And don't you dare say it's because of our "multiculturalism" That, to me, is 100% bull$hit! Other countries are proud of their heritage, they do not bend down for the minorities and change their traditions. Why do we feel the need to change our traditions to appease the minorities who we have graciously taken in. Is taking them in not enough?? Then they demand we change our traditions to make them happy. This has gone on for too long. If a person comes to this country they should RESPECT out traditions, not try to CHANGE them. I'm sick of it and in protest I am hanging a HUGE sign that says MERRY CHRISTMAS or KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS! on my lawn. I would urge others to do the same. Hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours

Sorry, bad argument.

Firstly, Christmas -- originally called Yule -- was hijacked by Pope Gregory and "changed the tradition" (oh NO! NOT THAT!) of celebrating the winter solstice into celebrating Christ's birth (which actually happened some time in April).

Secondly, we are not a "Christian" country. And don't try the "democratic society and majority rules" excuse. We are a POLITICAL democracy, not a RELIGIOUS one (thank the fore-fathers for that).

You have every right to say "Merry Christmas" and put it in monstrous letters on your front lawn. In laser lights for that matter.

But I will continue to say "Happy Holidays" and wish everyone a "Blessed Yule."

Well, I think it is up to each person to decide what a holiday means to them. For some it is a celebration of the birth of Christ, (see our new video of this on Google Video at: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6280085145990646977&q=sharon+janis, while for others it is an excuse to be intolerant and to, as you say, protest by hanging a HUGE sign saying MERRY CHRISTMAS, not out of love for Christ or humanity, but out of anger and intolerance. Why don't you take care of your own heart and mind and not worry so much about how other people choose to celebrate or express this holiday? WWJD?

Nobody is telling you, you cant say merry christmas... just at work you have to be politically correct.. if a black man from Niger came into your work you can say hello NI-GG-ER. its just wrong. you have to respect other people.. its called the golden rule! i happen to be jewish.. i say merry chirstmas all the time but i do respect other people while at work and tell them happy holidays
