Why not move aside a little to let people through? Why does this happen? "Oh no, right now there is only you...I'll wait...I have no place to be right now. I'm here for you" (Not necessarily "YOU" of course...if you don't do this).
I keep seeing this and it blows my mind. Do you see this also? Does it bother you?

I've seen this many, many times. It serves as a reminder that I do not really exist. The only people who really exist are the people who are always willing to stop the rest of the world at every possible opportunity. In a city, blocking a doorway is a hazard. I've always hoped that this particular hazard is the real reason that fire-fighters carry an axe, but I haven't seen them use it for that yet.
Sometimes I just push through. After all, if I don't exist, I can't possibly bother anyone by pushing my way through the people who DO exist. But you aren't rude. That's your problem. You have manners and you don't understand how civilized people can go out into the world without manners. I have manners too. I hold doors open for people to let them walk through, but when they don't say thank you or make a move to catch the door, my manners run out suddenly. I am tired of being polite to people who won't be polite to me or others. I'll slam a door on someone who acts as though I am their personal doorman. I'm not. People can decide what kind of world they want to live in. If they want courtesy, I can be courteous, but I won't be the last courteous person on earth. If people want rude, I can be rude.

People are so wrapped up in their own lives that they don't even consider that perhaps they are blocking someone else .
I just hope I continue to pay more attention to my surroundings and the people around me .
Maybe I can be an example to others .

They want you to pay attention to them.
They like to inconvenience other people.
Just pretend that you don't care one way or another(stand in front of them and make a really loud and laughing cell phone call) and wait until they move.....they will because they can't hear themselves talk!! Or be bold and just push past them.

In case of an earthquake! the doorway is the safest place to be.

Yes, I have seen this, and yes, it does bother me. In general, people who do that are too ignorant to notice their surroundings.

um no it dont blow my mind due to the fact in america it is filled with all types of people and i like to make a person with no manners use them by saying excuse me and i like to use my manners by saying pardon us lol
