Yes, the laws are applicable to the country you are currently residing in. Therefore smoking where it is legal is completely irrelevant to your being able to pass or fail a drug test here.

Yes you can be fired. The reason would probably be violation of company policy, and not so much a legailty issue. If possible use omni cleansing drinks before testing. You'll pass 100% of the time.

Yes, the policy at work is no drugs period. They want people alert to do the work and it does not matter where you did them at.

no, that don't make sense, if it is legal where u r from then why would a company want a drug test. if the job is out of that town, then yes, you fail the test and u could be fired. just because i smoke weed everyday and it is legal doesn't mean it would be acceptable with my career.

Yes. Definitely. The policy is not about illegal use of drugs, it is about use of drugs, period. Some employers even screen for alcohol consumption.
If your need to put chemicals in your body is more important than maintaining your livelihood, you might want to look at that. I think that's a definition of addiction.

I would say YES! Smoking pot is smoking pot no matter what country, postal code or area you are in. I'd start sucking back the gallons of water and whatever else they do to get rid of the traces.

If you really want to get technical and when you went thru customs in the US, they could have arrested you for smuggling drugs into the United States. Even though you smoked it in Holland, the pot didn't stay in Holland it came with you in your body.

Yes, you'd still be fired. The company's drug policy exists because they don't want their employees on drugs, not simply because drugs are illegal.
