I think it would make a fine gift for a 13 yr. old.

Is the person a girl or a boy. A boy might prefer a PSP more than a girl would as most gamers are male. Thean again almost all kids like games so it most likely will be a very good gift. Depending on where you are located you can get a different color PSP ( only in Europe or Japan).
you could also consider buyian a Nintedo Ds which is of the same quality but retail for between 130-160 us while a psp is usually about 200. If yoou buy a DS you could throw in a game and still spend less than the price of PSP
The PSp is better in terms of graphics though
the choice is up to you

I think it's a great gift, however keep in mind the 13 YO will have access to adult websites!

Absolutely. And for games, make sure you get "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories", it's all the rage with those crazy kids.

Yes, although it may be a little too mature for him. Have you considered the Nintendo DS? It is cheaper and has a lot of games for the young teen.

yea it is, but if its not what they asked for and its, just an idea from you, then i would suggest a Nintendo DS, its also a handheld, and its cheaper, and the Nintendo has never steered wrong on thier handhelds.
