Just wanted to say its very rude for you to call someone who drinks an alcoholic loser. not everyone who drinks is an alcoholic and people who are have a problem and need help. its nothing to call them a loser about. its like a sickness. my grandfather is an alcoholic as he turned to booze to help with my grandmothers death. hes in rehab now and is over 80 years old. hes not a loser thank you very much. I'm ashamed to find out someone like you if from Canada. I seriously thought we knew better then that. Childish minds need to stop asking adults questions.

I'm pretty sure my Mom is getting me some everyday wine glasses because all I have is the good crystal.

My husband will probably get me some minor piece of jewelry or a laptop, and he usually puts good tea and chocolates in my stocking.

For New Year's, we just have a couple of good friends over and play board games, like Cranium, Life, or Trival Pursuit, and have appetizers and drinks (fyi not everyone who imbibes is an alchololic or a loser... it can be had safely and in moderation. We don't ever get drunk, because we're old enough that getting sick afterwards just isn't worth it, but we'll have a little joie de vivre).

Young lady I would be careful who you call a "LOSER" because one of these days somebody might just get hacked of enough to say this: "it takes one to know one", you ARE NOT! better than anybody else is just because they drink and NEWSFLASH: A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW WHEN TO QUIT drinking so you are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo out of line implying that everybody that drinks is an alcoholic!

Your attitude tells ME that you are nothing but a RUDE small minded individual that thinks that you are ALWAYS RIGHT. sorry you are very wrong about people in the context that you have grouped every body in!

I had given up hope of ever receiving an "engagement" ring after Christmas #5 last year. Maybe, just maybe, through prayer (for God to soften his heart) and my contentment at NOT getting a ring previously, I will get one this year.

Either way, getting to see my children wake up on Christmas morning every other year is the only gift I know I am getting, and it is the best gift of all.

We're having a 'lean' Christmas this year, since $$ is tight. I know I'm getting a day planner and a watch (I think). The only person my family is splurging on is my 10-month-old, since it's his first Christmas...so, I think the best gift I'll get this year is watching him enjoy himself!

New Year's is not a big deal to me. I think we might just celebrate at home, maybe with some firecrackers.

Well, receiving is not that big of a deal to me. I love to give. Me and my husband will be at work on New Year's. Plus, we don't drink. Merry Christmas.
