Nepal and bangladesh have a transit agreement signed in 2000, where they could use Indian territory for transit. But the facility was withdrawn by India on security ground. I dont know when. Where can i find the exact details?

India closed the transit facility between Nepal and Bangladesh through Indian Territory when Bangladesh decided not to allow Indian heavy-duty trucks and such vehicles transit facility to go from Kolkata to Tripura using Bangladesh's flailing roads and bridges / culverts infrastructures.

By the way, India the country made tremendous progress in education, manufacturing industries and Information Technology etc., at par with any developed country, but unfortunately the Indian population has been led by dinosaurs like leaders who keeps on picking fight with neighbor for this or that matter and 'punish' them at her sweet will; as if India is still living in 1950/60s mindset when it was fighting only with Pakistan.

The symptom is gradually getting from bad towards worse as far as Bangladesh is concerned. We can see Indian diplomats are openly siding with a particular party who are wishing intervention by India to install them in power!

Is it because mother India is kinda shy for opening herself up so Bangladesh and Nepal can enter India from both openings!

Anyway, the transit facility was doomed from the begining ... it was pretty much the same time it was signed...as soon as Panchgarh was ready to handle Nepali goods...
